Autumn is my favorite time of year and Halloween is ranks high on my list of favorite holidays as my birthday is only two days before. I don’t like horror movies or haunted houses, but do love garlic. I realize all of this is such a contradiction, but there is just something about autumn rolling in and little ghosts and goblins showing up at my door.
One of my favorite memories of trick or treating when I was a little girl was my late Grandmother taking me to my Great-Aunt and Uncles and they’d have homemade caramel apples. Those were great days. My husband really doesn’t get my holiday enthusiasm, but our son does. We always put out a few decorations for Halloween and make things like Slime Soup and Mummy Dogs. Until this year, we’ve always trick-or-treated, but at 13 he’s staying home and will be passing out the good treats (chocolate) to the little kids and the bad treats (hard candy) to the kids who are older than him.
Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite Halloween decorations. They’re colorful and adorably spooky. (Clicking on each photos takes you back to the original Pinterest pin!)
