Staying balanced sucks on any normal day. It’s even worse when you wake up running behind and continue be that way for the rest of the day. Top it off with every single distracted driver possible, forgetting an important “date” and not being able to just find any peace?
Well, it sucks.
How do you find balance? That all important me time? Quiet time, that if you don’t get, will cause you to run around your house maniacally, waving a white flag in surrender. If I’m not careful, my husband will come home and find me in the corner fetal, sucking my thumb, wildly clinging to my Claire Huxtable ideals and wishing someone would force a bottle of Fume Blanc down my throat.
My best balancers are a swim in the tub and marking things off of my to-do list. It also includes caring for my family, being a supportive friend and keeping my spirituality in check. Needless to say, if one things gets out of balance, it can be a precarious situation.

So, tomorrow I am taking the day off from being online for at least 1/2 the day and recentering myself and setting priorities. Also, it will be nice to for quiet. There will be no telephone, no tv, no internet. Just me.
Contemplation. Concentration. Centered. There will be yoga, meditation, prayer, quiet and me.
After all, if I am feeling balanced and happy, everything else falls into place effortlessly.
